Nice day for a bike ride: today’s lower Manhattan bike route.
Been living here three years, but only today biked around the tip of lower Manhattan for the first time.
It’s almost doable on dedicated bike paths the whole way, though it breaks down a little at Battery Park. I tried to stay on roads with marked bike lanes to see if it could be done — and managed to for the entire route except for a block or two around Wall St.
Pretty cool that you can do a ten mile loop right in downtown Manhattan, although there’s no fast way to come back unless you double back along Hudson River Park (which is worth riding both ways anyway).
