So, today McCain canceled his Late Show appearance at the last minute, ostensibly because he had suspended his campaign, but when Letterman, stuck improvising an entire show, found out McCain was over at Katie Couric’s studio instead, he busted him right on-air. Another immortal TV moment from Dave.

Interesting thing — even though Letterman’s just airing now, this video went up on YouTube three hours ago, via a new account, “1970oaktree,” that was just created today. Um, by a Late Show intern, mayhaps?
