Dear Hillary campaign — as mills noted, this awful video’s not your fault (here’s the story), but if you need to get it removed from YouTube (and you do), you might want to try flagging it for copyright violation.

Nevertheless, this is an excruciatingly awkward riposte to the slicker, hipper, and universally-beloved Obama agitprop posted so often on Tumblr.

Not that there’s any substantive political meaning to music videos or their proclamations of either her competence or his hope, but still: if this is how the game is played, Hillary seems lost.

On another note, this video is extraordinary in that it’s the lowest rated video I’ve ever seen on YouTube (at this count, rated 1 star - the lowest rating you can submit - with over 4000 ratings and over 240,000 views, and comments have been disabled). Something tells me it would be closer to zero stars if there were a way for people to do it. The NYTimes is blogging the backlash.
