The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency has released the first ever HD footage of the Moon, taken from lunar orbit from the unmanned spacecraft Kaguya (or “Selene,” an acronym for “SELenological and ENgineering Explorer”) at an altitude of about 100 km on October 18, 2007.
Here are some 3D models of Kaguya if someone wanted to, say, put one in an upcoming Galacticast episode.
