You might notice the site looks different, or that the feed has a lot more new posts in it. I’ve moved shey.net’s front page and feed over to a new format thanks to tumblr, for a couple of reasons. One, I was having more fun with my tumblog, until now hidden over at another URL, than I was with shey.net anymore. I liked having comments on the site, and some other widgets and things wordpress provides, but was spending more time deleting comment spam than I was doing things that make me smarter and happier, and the only real people leaving comments were people who had blogs I’d rather be reading. So, if you want to comment on my posts now, you can write something on your own page and link to me, and we’ll both be happier.
More important than any of those reasons, I want my friend David, who labors day and night to make Tumblr awesome, to be rich and celebrated for his genius, so that he’ll give me a job one day when I need it. Thanks also to David for the personal touch of helping me with some DNS fixes the other day so that all the old links on shey.net could still work. Comments, though, are closed.
